How deep do your roots go?
Hebrews 11:9-10 (NKJV)
By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God
Abraham was known as a tent dweller. He had a brother named Nahor who was mentioned in the bible as a builder of cities (Gen 22:23, 24:10). Abraham never built a city. The only permanent things Abraham ever built was altars. If you are a child of God, don't set your roots down too deep here. You are a citizen of another kingdom and "just passing through."
2 Corinthians 5:1 (NKJV)
For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
