Psalm 132:13-16 (NKJV)

For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place: This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it. I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread. I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

What is Zion? It is a term used in the Bible that speaks of the Jewish people, Israel. It goes beyond that, and speaks of an ideal nation or society. It is Heaven, which nothing on earth can adequately represent. The temple on earth was a shadow of the real.

What will we do in Heaven? We will be satisfied; we will shout aloud for joy!

Hebrews 12:22 (NKJV)
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,

Revelation 21:2 (NKJV)
Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:23 (NKJV)
The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
